BEVERLY HILLS, CA USA - May 28, 2000 two paintings by  Marc Chagall (Russian, 1887-1985)  were stolen from a Rodeo Drive Gallery.  For an article about this crime see link.  The missing tempra on masonite artworks are:

2. "The Jewish Man at the Torah"
